At the digital auction house Xydrobe, an expert team versed in the latest visual FX techniques (the founder worked on films in the Star Wars and Mission: Impossible franchises) faithfully render pieces as virtual items known as NFTs – non-fungible tokens. Last year they recreated a JW Anderson cardigan worn by the singer Harry Styles that sold for about £5,730. On a coat hanger it cost £1,200.
